Most people joining the lottery do not seek the pleasure of gambling but for the promise of a better tomorrow.

We all want to be freed from the shackles of debt and poverty, the limiting factor of paycheck to paycheck. We all aim to be financially stable, and even, be independent. Yes, that feeling of retiring early in life to enjoy what it has to offer. However, dreams will remain dreams if not enough effort is embedded in the equation.

The Symbiosis of Health and Finance

While most wealth coaches focus on innovation, saving, and risks; only a few put health in the high hierarchy of targets when accumulating riches. A handful if I may say, knows the value of spending smartly on healthcare. It is true that being thrifty, saving, and early detection of a potential business venture is essential, but if you won’t able to keep your body functioning together you’ll still end up broken and even in debt. According to Our World in Data (https://ourworldindata.org/mental-health) a growing margin of people suffer from mental problems, 3.4% and 3.8% are under depression and anxiety respectively. Whilst the reasons vary, one of the leading causes is health problems brought about by straining our brains.

We will surely be in a pinch if we covet too much riches in exchange for our health. These possessions later on will just be your down payments to your impending illnesses. Learning to value your body and mind works both ways: continue to experience life to the fullest and maximize your potential to gain wealth.

A simple well-balanced diet or meal prepping does create a health and wealth connection. Assuming health habits for financial freedom is not farfetched if you want lasting and effective ways towards the top. Gradual and steady acquisition of wealth is in fact a proven way towards lasting financial freedom.

Benefits of Being Fit

Business is not a walk in the park as it entails also orchestrating all aspects of the human relation inviting cashflow towards oneself. It does not only magnet opportunities but also mishaps if one does not trudge cautiously. Putting your health as the least priority is fatal in the equation of progress and wealth acquisition. When we are sick we tend to commit errors or mistakes in our judgment. Things we will never do if only we are okay and not feeling uncomfortable in our bodies. Business owners need to be tough. They need to have coping mechanisms for anxiety, stress, and depression. According to WebMD (https://www.webmd.com/balance/stress-management/stress-anxiety-depression) a continuous dose of stress shows physical symptoms like headache, stomach pain, chest pain, insomnia, and high blood pressure. We can always set these aside to attain wealth. Yet we all know it’s a ticking time bomb. So instead of lengthening the wick, why not remove the bomb? Finding time for mental relaxation and physical rest is not lazy work at all. In fact, we are more motivated to accomplish things after a rest had been made.

Staying fit makes our visits with physicians rare. We have more energy to do things. We also have a longer life span in the process. When we take care of our body, our body takes care of us in return. Investing in your health will never grow old since your body will be with your 24/7.

Building Wealth through Better Health Habits

Here are some healthy habits to keep you rolling:

1. Regular exercise. Keeping your body in its form is not only reserved for flaunting. Incorporating exercise into your daily routine increases your productivity and reduce health cost in the long run.

2. Healthy meals. You are what you eat. We become healthy by consuming healthy foods. Indulging in junk foods will never be okay. Getting the right portion of everything we eat helps our body to repair itself.

3. Enough rest. Being grumpy is not our choice sometimes. Incomplete sleep makes us dull and irritated. This is the result when your body tells you to shut down but your mind still wants to continue.

4. Detoxify. Eating well and exercising are not the only healthy habits you can make. Separating yourself from negative people and the environment gives you that change of perspective. This in turn will make you think over things again. You might be surprised to discover new things to how to achieve your financial goals.

5. Be happy. Whatever you achieve, cherish it as it comes. Enjoy your victory. Never compare your achievements with others, we might have the same destination but not the same transportation in getting there.

Financial Independence from Healthy Lifestyle

Attaining fitness will maximize our body to perform more. Having control over your own body is a goal necessary for financial freedom. We won’t need to hold back on stress since we know we can handle it. We do not need to put medical expenses in the budget. Our thinking will remain sharp and relevant. There are business opportunities we can eye since our body will hold itself for a while against aging. Financial independence is a result of our thoughts, skills, talents, and devotion. However, let us be reminded that our body and mind produce these things which are economic attributes. Our most valuable assets will always go back to ourselves. So why not strengthen the foundation to build your empire?
